Omicron, Klaus - A
High-tech building heated and cooled with ground-source energy using precast driven piles in steel-reinforced concrete
- Completion: 1998
- Cooling capacity: 230 kW
- Heating capacity: 100 kW
- Annual cooling output: 120 MWh
- Annual heating output: 60 MWh
- Client: Omicron Electronics GmbH, Klaus - A
- Architect: Nägele & Waibel, Dornbirn - A
- Building services consultant: GMI Ingenieure, Dornbirn - A
enercret installation:
112 precast driven piles in steel-reinforced concrete with a length of 12 m are equipped with 11,000 m of HDPE piping 20/2.0 mm and connected to the manifold block in the building services centre via 9,000 m of piping. The water/glycol mixture circulating in the pipe system absorbs the heating and cooling energy and transports it to the heat pump.
